How To Submit Your Work

These simple steps will help you submit your art, photos, stories, poems, or any other information to the Furry Forest mailing list and website.

Note: Please be sure to include a copyright on all your pictures, stories, poems, etc. to protect your work and furs' identities.

Example: The copyright on a picture Hairy drew of himself and his friend, Fuzzy Fur, might read: Hairy and Artwork © Hairy 2002. Fuzzy Fur © his/her player.

If you have any questions about copyrights, contact the Furry Forest Guardians or your fellow furs and they'll help you in any way they can.

Before you post, please make sure that all your contributions comply with The Furry Forest Code.

 

 Posting messages to the Furry Forest mailing list:

Once you have joined The Furry Forest at Yahoo Groups (see How To Join), you can post messages to the other members by entering the group's site at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/furryforest/ and clicking on "Post", OR by sending an email to: furryforest@yahoogroups.com.

 

Submiting Artwork/Photos to the Furry Forest mailing list:

Following these steps will post your pictures to the Furry Forest Mailing list where everyfur can receive them.

  1. Reduce the size of your picture to roughly 800x600 pixels (most all art programs have a "resize" option) and save it in a GIF or JPEG format (we recommend JPEG for photographs, and GIF for all other art). This will make your work easier to view by your fellow furs and will keep them from having to wait 92 hours for a gigantic file to download. *smiles*
  2. Address an email to furryforest@yahoogroups.com, write a title and description, then attach your file.
  3. Click "send" (or something similar *grins*) and your work should be posted.

NOTE: You cannot upload a file to the Furry Forest mailing list from within YahooGroups. Files must be attached (using your online service) and emailed to furryforest@yahoogroups.com.

 

Submitting Artwork/Photos to the Furry Forest Website:

Following these steps will send your pictures to the Furry Forest website where they will be added to the galleries during the next update.

  3. Click on "send" and your work will be posted with the next update. We'll reply when we receive your submission so you know it arrived safely.

 

Submitting Stories/Poetry to the mailing list:

Following these steps will send your stories/poetry to all the subscribers of the Furry Forest Mailing list.

  1. Address an email to furryforest@yahoogroups.com
  2. Copy and paste your story/poem to the email form.

    3. -OR-

    Attach your story/poetry file (preferably saved in a text, RTF, or Word format) to the email.

  3. Click "send" and your work should be posted.

NOTE: You cannot upload a file to the Furry Forest mailing list from within YahooGroups. Files must be attached (using your online service) and emailed to furryforest@yahoogroups.com.

 

Submitting Stories/Poetry to the Furry Forest website:

  2. Click "send" and your work will be posted with the next update. We'll reply to your submission as soon as we receive it so you know it arrived safely.

 

**Please note that all written contributions to the Furry Forest Website will be formatted for posting by our resident editor-in-chief, K'gra the leopard princess. She will only check spelling, punctuation, and paragraph alignment (unless instructed otherwise). No content will be altered. If you would like additional help or advice on your stories/poetry, please email our talented leopard. She would be happy to help you in any way she can.
