1. Read the Furry Forest Code all the way through to see if the group is right for you.
2. Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/furryforest/, click on "Join this group". If you are not registered with Yahoo, read paragraph "a" below. If you are already a Yahoo member, skip right over it like it was a sidewalk and read paragraph "b"! *grins*

a) If you are new to Yahoo, you will have to register with them first. After clicking on "Join This Group", you will be sent to a screen asking you to "log in" or "sign up now". Click on "sign up now" and enter the Yahoo screenname you would like to use, then answer all the other questions (though I would fursonally take the X out of the box at the bottom where you agree to receive mailings from Yahoo's partners. *smiles*). Then click on "Submit this form" at the bottom. On the next screen, remove the X from the "Yes, personalize my browser with the Yahoo Companion toolbar" and then click "Continue to Yahoo". Click on "Verify" next to your email address. Now, keep a keen eye on your emailbox. You will be receiving an email from Yahoo with a special verification code (the email might take a few hours to get there). We suggest clicking on the "resend email verification" option a couple of times just to make sure at least one arrives. The verification email Yahoo sends will contain a link that will bring you back to where you need to be. Enter the code in the space provided along with your password, then click "Verify". Go to paragraph "b".

b) Next, you will be taken to the page to join the Furry Forest. This is the good part! *grins* Read all the choices and make your selections. I believe that most all of these settings can be changed after you subscribe if you make a mistake. (Note: When setting up your Furry Forest membership options, please be aware that if you choose "Daily Digest", you will not receive any attached files containing artwork, photos, etc., only the text of the posts themselves. Selecting "Individual emails" will let you receive all Furry Forest submissions.) Continue on and the next screen will be a confirmation of your membership with a link to our homepage on YahooGroups. You will also have access to all the members-only areas on that site. Yahoo will send you an auto-response email welcoming you to the Furry Forest. Hold onto this email and add our group's email address to your address book so you can begin sending posts to the list.

3. If you'd like to have your furry name, species, furry interests, birthday, email and website address, and AIM/ICQ identification posted in our members database (available only to Furry Forest members in YahooGroups "Database" section), go to our Members page and follow the directions.
4. We like to celebrate birthdays here in the Furry Forest (parties and snacks are always a good thing! *smiles*). If you would like your birthday listed on the Calendar, please send your name and birthdate to the Furry Forest Guardians and we'll add it as soon as possible.
5. Lastly, please frolic in the Furry Forest while singing joyously. Doot do do doo, do de do de doooooo! *smiles*
