Wondering the night, sad and alone
Wide awake, had no direction
Dragging my paws through the cover of darkness
Found myself deep in a wood
I followed a path that lead to a clearing
By a lake, lit by the moon
Fell asleep to the song of crickets
But, I'd be awakened soon..............
I heard them around me
The creatures, they found me
And my eyes had opened
To their eyes upon me
Then I felt a large paw
Touch me on my shoulder
And a warm voice assured me not to be afraid
He said, "Welcome to the furry green forest"
Where you have strayed
We're all family in the furry green forest
We hope you'll stay.....................
He took me into his embrace
With a big bear hug, he made me feel welcomed
He introduced me to his mate
Princess K'gra, Tama and Rama
Suddenly, a weight had been lifted
Overwhelmed, my eyes in tears
I hugged back, my feelings were strong
'Cause it had been far too long............
And then it, it hit me
This is where I was meant to be
And they all, all gathered
Around to hear my story
All the things that went wrong
I suffered for so long
So lost and happy to be found
